In the morning, we will depart from our hotel and visit the
Greek site of Selinunte. This site is one of the largest and most
impressive Greek archaeological sites in the Mediterranean, on a
par with many found in Greece itself. Lying abandoned for more than
2,000 years, it encompasses the ruins of numerous temples,
acropolis and agora.
Then take a long, leisurely lunch at the fabulous Da Vittorio
Ristorante, a fish restaurant located on the beach in Porto Palo di
Menfi (as seen on Sicily Unpacked and Rick Stein's
Great Mediterranean Escapes). There is no set menu - dishes
depend on the fishermen's catch that day.
In the afternoon, take a scenic coastal drive to Agrigento,
where we will arrive at our hotel in the early evening. A light
evening meal will be served at the hotel, our home for the next two
